Sanctuary Treatment Center was created as a safe, intimate place for individuals to overcome addiction and take back their lives. We offer private, individualized care at a beautiful, secluded facility in Los Angeles, California. Our team includes a skilled, experienced, and professional staff of addiction experts ready to help clients heal.
Our Sanctuary Treatment Center is located in beautiful Los Angeles, California. We provide an intimate group setting that fosters an environment where clients feel safe and comfortable. We create individualized treatment plans placing value on the customization to each individual’s various needs. Our facility has a maximum of six beds, which provides the personal attention and dedication required to overcoming an alcohol and/or drug addiction.
The first step in treatment is called detox or detoxification. When a person’s body has become physically dependent on drugs or alcohol, medical intervention becomes necessary. If proper medical care is not provided at the time of detoxification, withdrawal from certain substances like alcohol and benzodiazepines is extremely dangerous. Getting through detox then allows a patient to explore underlying issues.
What to expect: Patients begin treatment at our detox program. During this time there is a thorough assessment of a patient’s health. They are seen by a psychiatrist who will evaluate their history, as well as assess withdrawal symptoms to create a medical regimen for the detox process. While at this higher level of care, patients receive additional attention and supervision by the nursing and treatment team, especially during drug withdrawal. Groups and programming are available during the day; clients are encouraged to participate, but it is not required at this time.
Inpatient treatment is when our team assesses an individual’s core issues, identifying what underlying issues have contributed to their behavior, as well as what remaining support structures they need to succeed. At Sanctuary Treatment Center, we look at the whole person, not just the addiction itself. During this phase of treatment, patients receive more intensive individual and group counseling sessions, as well as treatment modalities that set the foundation for healthier belief systems. Each patient’s treatment plan will be determined by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
What to expect: Upon successful completion of detox, a patient is then approved to enter the residential phase of treatment. Clients are expected to participate in daily programming. The therapeutic process is a mix of both individual and group therapy, a physical fitness regimen, chef-prepared meals, and attending meetings. Revisions or additions to a patient’s treatment plan are constantly reviewed and adjusted as needed.
Intensive outpatient is typically the third step in a person’s journey to sobriety. This is a crucial step as it allows one to utilize all of the hard work they did in residential and apply it to real life, with the guidance and help of professionals. Life for a person cannot look the same when they leave treatment. We will help them navigate their new reality.
What to expect: During an IOP, a person will transition from a residential setting to a lower level of care, where they will receive structured support as they begin to regain some real-world freedoms. Working hand-in-hand with our clinical team, clients will create a plan that meets their individual goals and objectives. This includes helping our clients find work, develop workable weekly schedules, and draft addiction or alcoholism relapse prevention plans before the transition to aftercare.
